I began by drawing a general idea of what I planned to make. I hope to have the yolk stay in the egg and the egg white pour out of the mouth of the beak.
To start this project off, I made two pinch pots and slipped and scored them together to create an orb. After this I let it dry for a few days. I made an orb to make sure the chicken was curved but in hindsight I realized I probably should have just made one pinch pot.
I then cut the top of the orb off and carved the inside to make the space inside larger. Afterwards I attached the wings and the feet.
I then glazed the outside with yellow crackle glaze, the inside with white, and the feet and beak orange. I chose to use the crackle glaze because it was a very light yellow.
When I got home I tested it to see if it would work. The egg white separator was in fact successful.
