I decided to make a spoon dish shaped like a frying pan with eggs and bacon.
I then rolled a slab to begin shaping the frying pan. I cut the general shape I wanted and started pulling the sides to create the edge of the pan.
I then started making each of the food I was going to place inside the pan. I started with the eggs. I made sure to make the yolk flatter in the center where the spoon would lay. I then made two strips of bacon which I place on the side of the pan to make sure they wouldn't interfere with the spoon.
The very last thing I made was mini sausages. I carved small lines and placed a very tiny piece of clay at the ends of the sausage to replicate the casing.
Once the clay was bisque fired, I began glazing. To create the color for the egg yolk I glazed one coat of orange and two coats of yellow. For the bacon I glazed the the outside with one coat of dark brown and two coats of red. for the sausage I glazed them one coat of red and two coats of dark brown. I was not sure at all how the colors would turn out but I was very pleased to see the results.
