I decided for my next project I wanted to make a small dish that replicated a cluster of grapes.
To get the curved shape of the dish I was picturing in my head I used a large piggy bank to work on. I started by rolling around 40 tiny balls of clay. I then flattened all of them and layered them on top of the pig. Once I had a flat layer with no holes I rolled a strip of clay in which I made into a circle to create a flat area for dish to sit on so it won't wobble.

Once the grapes dried enough to maintain shape I created large leaves to add to the dish. I then placed the grapes back on top of the pig to make sure the shape was kept.
When it dried more I then carved lines into the leaves and the space between the grapes and the leaves to separate them.
